Available in extremely limited quantities, REACTOR’s ION Mid-size is the first watch to bring high fashion to the sports world. The oversized, stainless steel ION features a unique cam-action band attachment that allows the watch to sit comfortably on almost any sized wrist. In a first for a true sport watch, the ION also presents a sculptured 3D crystal that follows the wave contour of the case. Another unique feature in the full-size Ion is the special kinetic-quartz movement that blends the accuracy of a quartz movement with the prestige of an automatic movement (the mid size ION incorporates a Swiss automatic movement).

A conventional automatic movement relies on constant movement of the wearer’s wrist to wind a spring that supplies power to the watch. When the watch is taken off, the spring can only supply energy to keep the watch running for about 30 hours. In the ION’s unique kinetic design, the pendulum that moves continuously (and is visible through the clear caseback), powers a battery that will run the watch for up to 70 days once the wearer removes the watch.
